Medical Equipment Intelligence Accelerates, Industrial AI Empowers High-End Manufacturing As the “15th Five-Year Plan” identifies the integration of artificial intelligence with medical equipment innovation as a key priority, the medical device intelligent manufacturing sector is ushering in a new wave of technological transformation. At recent industry exhibitions, multiple equipment manufacturers showcased the application of industrial AI in medical automation production lines. For insulin pens, auto-injectors, and other drug delivery devices, next-generation intelligent production lines have achieved high-speed cam-driven assembly combined with real-time AI monitoring, with production cycles reaching 1.5 seconds per unit, while industrial AI systems enable full-process visualized management of equipment operating status and key process parameters. Industry experts note that as centralized procurement policies continue to advance and the localization process in China’s medical device industry accelerates, the sector is imposing higher requirements on production equipment in terms of machining precision, flexible production capacity, and full-process traceability. Against this backdrop, companies with cross-industry technical expertise and intelligent equipment R&D capabilities are accelerating the migration of mature automation technologies from fields such as automotive manufacturing to the medical equipment sector, driving the industry toward a new development phase characterized by technology convergence, professional compliance, and global service capabilities.
